Our client, a prominent European engineering and machinery trading company, seeks a dynamic Sales Manager to represent their most strategic account: a global leader in sustainable shipbuilding. In this role, you will drive growth across the Vietnamese maritime sector by championing a state-of-the-art portfolio of vessels, ferries, dredgers, and advanced marine solutions.
Key Responsibilities
As the Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and overseeing shipbuilding operations in Vietnam. Your core duties will include:
- Act as the primary, on-the-ground representative for the globally renowned shipbuilding client within the Vietnamese market.
- Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key players across the local and regional shipbuilding industry.
- Actively support, manage, and expand shipbuilding outsourcing activities across Vietnam.
- Lead and assist in high-stakes contract negotiations and commercial discussions to secure favorable terms.
- Monitor contract execution and project implementation, collaborating seamlessly with on-site engineering and project teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Coordinate and support high-level site visits and meetings involving principals, clients, shipyards, and other vital stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Proven background in sales (highly preferred), ideally within the industrial, engineering, or maritime sectors.
- Core Skills: Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and negotiation capabilities.
- Language: Full professional proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
- Attributes: Self-motivated, resilient, open-minded, and fiercely customer-oriented.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel domestically within Vietnam as business needs require.
