Job Purpose: We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to drive growth and market penetration in the strategic VIETNAM market. The ideal candidate should have a long track record in selling Radio, Cloud and OSS solutions, with an extensive network across telecom operators, neutral hosts, key enterprises and data Center customers in the VIETNAM.

Reporting: Due to the strategic importance of the VIETNAM market, this Individual Contributor role will be directly reporting to the VP Regional Sales APAC.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales Strategy:

  • Lead End2End sales efforts for ORAN, OSS, and private cloud solutions, driving fast revenue growth and market share in the VIETNAM across all Rakuten Symphony Business Units Products portfolio.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for the VIETNAM that align with the company's global goals and the regional targets.
  • Establish and foster strategic partnerships with all telecom operators, neutral hosts and key enterprises and data Center customers in the VIETNAM, ensuring long-term client relationships.

Market Penetration:

  • Leverage existing relationships and connections with all telecom operators, neutral hosts and key enterprises and data Center customers in the VIETNAM.
  • Leverage existing business relationship with all key System Integrators and local resellers in the VIETNAM.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in in the VIETNAM.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, technology shifts, and competitive dynamics to position Rakuten Symphony as a market leader.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with senior executives and decision-makers across telecom and enterprise sectors.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights into technology transitions, business opportunities, and the strategic value of Rakuten Symphony's offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Engineering) to tailor solutions that meet specific client needs.

Leadership:

  • Represent Rakuten Symphony at industry conferences and events, enhancing the company's brand and thought leadership in the VIETNAM.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degrees are a plus.
  • 12-18 years of senior-level experience in sales, business development within the telecom industry in VIETNAM.
  • Proven track record of driving growth in CSP/Enterprise sales, particularly with ORAN, OSS, and cloud platforms.
  • Deep understanding of the business and technology transitions impacting telecom operators and enterprises in the region.
  • Experience in working in matrix organizations collaborating with Business Units Sales and Pre-Sales Teams as well as with Partners Alliance Teams.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of ORAN, OSS, and cloud platform technologies and its application to the VIETNAM Market.
  • Experience in Sales related to Vietnam CSP/Enterprise etc.
  • Exceptional Sales, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver results.
