Purpose of the Role

As a Sales & Application Specialist Surgical (SUR), you are responsible for driving the commercial and clinical development of the SUR business within the Ophthalmology (OPT) SBU in the North region.

You act as a trusted partner to customers by combining sales execution with strong application and clinical expertise, while collaborating closely with Sales, Service, and Marketing teams to achieve business objectives.

The Key Responsibilities for This Position Include (but Are Not Limited To):

Drive sales growth and market development for SUR solutions in the assigned territory.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

Deliver product demonstrations, application training, and clinical education.

Support customer workflows and provide application-level troubleshooting when required.

Support marketing and promotional activities such as workshops, seminars, and exhibitions.

Manage sales forecasting, tenders, and major project bids.

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and report relevant market intelligence.

Collaborate closely with Sales, Service, and Marketing teams to ensure coordinated customer support.

Required Knowledge & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Biomedical, Engineering, Pharma, or a related field.

23 years experience in sales and/or application roles, preferably within the medical device industry.

Ophthalmology experience is a strong advantage.

Strong communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills.

Analytical, proactive, and customer-focused mindset.

Good command of spoken and written English.
