ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Business Development/Sales Activation Manager to lead and scale our Activation team. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution to drive existing account growth. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive growth strategies for account development while scaling the teams to meet business demands.
Strategic Leadership Opportunity
- Lead and grow the Activation team (account growth) with a current size of 5 members.
- Design and execute client acquisition strategies and account growth initiatives.
- Develop hiring plans and scale teams based on business needs.
- Build and implement KPIs and performance frameworks.
- Dive into continuous improvement in team efficiency and effectiveness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning & Growth
- Design and implement comprehensive client acquisition strategies for APAC.
- Develop account growth strategies for the existing client portfolio.
- Create hiring plans and scale teams to meet business objectives.
- Establish and track key performance metrics for both functions.
- Identify and capture new market opportunities.
- Set and achieve quarterly and annual revenue growth targets.
Activation Strategy & Management
- Lead the activation team in developing and executing account growth funnel strategies.
- Design client engagement programs to maximize retention and wallet share.
- Implement data-driven approaches to account relationship management.
- Create systematic approaches to increase inquiry share and project volume.
- Develop strategies to expand client engagement across different service lines.
- Monitor and improve client satisfaction metrics.
Mentor Development & Operations
- Manage and operate the current team of 5 professionals.
- Identify functions hiring needs and lead recruitment efforts to scale teams.
- Design comprehensive KPIs and performance metrics for sales and account growth.
- Implement training programs and career development frameworks.
- Create and maintain sales and account management playbooks.
- Drive cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS
Background
- 5+ years of relevant experience in professional services, consulting, or expert networks.
- Proven track record in both strategic planning and hands-on sales execution.
- Experience in building and scaling teams (5 people).
- Strong background in performance metrics and KPI development.
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales and account management.
Nice to Have Experience
- Experience in expert networks or knowledge-based industries.
- Track record of developing and implementing growth strategies.
- Background in enterprise sales and key account management.
