JOB IN SUMMARY

The Safety Manager is responsible for leading and embedding ofis global and regional safety strategy across all Vietnam operations. This role drives a strong, sustainable safety culture with the objective of zero incidents and worldclass safety performance, supporting multiple Business Units with varying safety maturity levels. The incumbent is expected to actively coach leaders and safety teams, strengthen weak safety practices, and deliver tangible safety improvements on the ground.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement and execute global ofi and regional safety programs for covered facilities and processes to grow safety culture of zero incidents and achieve world class performance in safety.
  • Advice on ofi safety standards /Country safety laws content applicability, provide guidance and support on the effective implementation of them exchange and capitalize best practices and assure adherence.
  • Coach and train on safety culture, recognize the levels of maturity, recommend, support next step of improvements.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to facility safety professionals and leadership teams.
  • Visit facilities regularly to detect existing or potential accident hazards and determine corrective or preventive measures, do walk the talk and coach local leaders on safety principles and assure effective management of identified areas of improvements,
  • Analyze current situations in safety performance (leading and lagging), support the facility teams on improvements.
  • Analyze incidents happening and identify trends, common route causes that can shall be addressed by facility overreaching actions and train and assure high quality incident investigations, do follow up on corrective action.
  • Track progress and publish results on current safety objectives and metrics.
  • Establish and maintain safety cross auditing process, prepare the resources, and follow up on the execution of the audit plan as well as follow up on identified gaps and recommendations.
  • Manage and monitor training programs to meet safety requirements.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified safety professional.
  • 7-8 years of safety leadership experience within manufacturing MNC environments (food, ingredients, commodity preferred).
  • Ability to lead the new Safety Pillar roadmap with background on Continuous Improvements.
  • Handson experience implementing and sustaining safety programs such as Behavioral Based Safety, Life Saving Rules (LSRs), Safety Transformation Programs (STP), and Safety Imperatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and preventing Process Safety Incidents, including highpotential or SIFrelated risks.
  • Have experience in managing Process Safety Incidents including prevention programs.
  • Possess technical expertise in developing and applying process and equipment safety standards in manufacturing operations.
  • Strong leadership skills driving changes, creating engagement, experienced safety trainer and coach.
  • Strong organizing, planning, analytical problem-solving and decision making are required.
  • Have leadership and experience in setting up, leading, and driving change (safety culture, change management).
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problemsolving capability with sound decisionmaking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across all organizational levels and build trusted partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Assertive and strong believer in the power of teamwork and alignment
  • Comfortable working across multiple business units and geographies; able to benchmark and deploy best practices internally and externally.
  • Capability to contribute as a SIF Auditor and active member of the Global Safety Leadership community.
