Next Robotics is an Industry technology startup separated from FPT Software, specializing in products that combine automation and AI in the industry. The mission goal of Next Robotics is to develop world-class products to serve the modernizing industry of Vietnam, as well as export them to the global market.

The core members of Next Robotics include the former CEO of FPT Software, automation AI, software experts with over 15 years of experience who have held key positions at FPT, Samsung, VinAI, and the sales team, which is adept and proficient in domestic and international markets.

We're looking for a Robotics Software Engineer to bring your talent to Next Robotics. You'll be a part of our team.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize motion control systems for robots (mobile / manipulators / AGVs).
• Develop and test robotics algorithms: kinematics, motion planning, localization, mapping, perception, safety layer.
• Integrate hardware & software modules: motor drive, encoders, IMU, LiDAR, safety sensors, cameras, PLC, etc.
• Implement communication protocols between robot subsystems (CAN/CAN-FD, RS485, TCP/IP, MQTT, ROS2 topics/services/actions).
• Conduct experiments and performance tuning to improve reliability, safety and accuracy of robotic systems.
• Support robotics software deployment, logging, diagnostics, and robot mission execution.
• (Optional) Collaborate with Backend/Fleet Management team to integrate robot data, cloud API, and mission control.

Job Requirement:

Must-have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge in robotics hardware & control: motors, actuators, encoder, IMU, LiDAR, camera, etc.
• Experience with motion control & kinematics (forward, inverse), PID control, trajectory tracking.
• Experience in C/C++ or Python, and ROS/ROS2 (navigation, perception, safety, drivers).
• Familiarity with robotics communication protocols: TCP/IP, CAN, RS232/485, MQTT, etc.

Good to have (Priority):

• Experience developing backend for robots (Python, C++).
• Knowledge in robot fleet management, mission assignment and cloud-robot communication.
• Knowledge in mapping, localization (AMCL, SLAM), trajectory planners (TEB, MPC, CBS multi-robot planning).
• Experience building robot safety layers (E-Stop, watchdog, safety scanner rules).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Linux, system monitoring (logs, metrics).
