Role Overview:
We are looking for a talented Rive Animator to create delightful, high-performance interactive animations that elevate our product experience. You will focus on building expressive mascot animations and UI motion using Rive, working closely with designers and developers to bring our brand's motion language to life across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality interactive mascot animations in Rive, including rigs, state machines, and micro-interactions that enhance the overall product experience.
- Apply strong animation principles (timing, spacing, easing, anticipation, squash and stretch, etc.) to design smooth, intuitive, and expressive motion.
- Prepare and optimize animation assets, including:
- Setting up bones, constraints, and hierarchies
- Ensuring animations are lightweight, performant, and scalable across platforms (web, mobile, and embedded environments).
- Collaborate closely with product designers, UX designers, and engineers to seamlessly integrate Rive animations into the product.
- Ensure all motion work aligns with and reinforces the brand's motion language and visual identity.
- Maintain, document, and organize reusable animation components and state machines to support efficient workflows and long-term scalability.
Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in Animation.
- Proven experience creating animations in Rive, including rigging, state machines, and interactive logic.
- Strong understanding of animation fundamentals and motion design best practices.
- Experience preparing assets for real-time animation and performance-sensitive environments.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate motion concepts clearly to non-animators.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for crafting polished, delightful interactions.
Bonus Skills:
- Illustration skills: Ability to create or refine character and mascot illustrations suitable for animation.
- Experience converting PNG or raster assets into clean, animation-ready SVGs, including:
- Rebuilding artwork with proper layer structure
- Optimizing paths and shapes for performance in Rive
- Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, or similar vector design tools.
- Understanding of how motion design impacts UX, accessibility, and user feedback.
