MBP is seeking a detail-oriented Risk and Schedule Specialist to support the New Embassy Compound (NEC) project in Hanoi, Vietnam. This position is focused on data collection, analysis, and on-site support, serving as MBP's liaison to facilitate efficient risk management and schedule monitoring for the field team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree (preferably in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction), and an active final Top Secret clearance. Experience with the Department of State Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is strongly preferred.
- Serve as MBP's on-site liaison, supporting the field team with day-to-day risk management and schedule monitoring activities, and aiding effective communication with the project team (OCONUS and CONUS).
- Proactively collaborate with the contractor and project team to identify potential risks, trigger activities, and areas of concern through regular site engagement and data analysis.
- Support the development and implementation of mitigation strategies by gathering field data, facilitating discussions, and tracking action items to address identified risks.
- Continuously monitor the status of project risks, including the tracking of realized risks and mitigation activities, to evaluate their impact on project objectives, schedule, and deliverables.
- Maintain and update risk registers, schedule logs, and project dashboards using tools such as Microsoft Power BI and other analytics platforms.
- Collect, organize, and analyze project risk and schedule data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for reporting and decision-making.
- Assist in preparing risk and schedule reports, visualizations, and presentations for the project team and OBO Project Director.
- Participate in regular schedule review meetings, providing data-driven insights and supporting the evaluation of schedule progress, critical path activities, and potential variances.
- Collaborate with the contractor and project team to collect schedule updates, verify field progress, and support monthly schedule reviews.
- Perform schedule review and analysis using Primavera P6, identifying schedule risks, evaluating the impact of changes, and supporting the development of recovery plans as needed.
- Contribute to quality assurance efforts by supporting data-driven analysis and documentation.
- Facilitate efficient risk communication between the field team and the project team in the United States, aiding timely escalation of key issues and supporting the implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor's degree (required. Focus in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, risk management, schedule management, or project controls within the AEC industry.
- Active final Top Secret security clearance (required).
- Experience supporting Department of State Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) projects (preferred).
- Proficiency in data analysis and dashboard development, with demonstrated experience using Microsoft Power BI.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 for schedule review and analysis (required).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international project environment.
- Experience supporting quality assurance and project reporting.
REPORTING
This position reports directly to the OBO Project Director and works in close coordination with the MBP Risk and Schedule Managers based in the United States.
