Revit BIM Engineer

At gbc engineers, we're expanding our Engineering Department in Ho Chi Minh City and we're looking for Revit BIM Engineer to join our international team of experts from Germany and Vietnam.

We specialize in structural design, BIM modeling, and project management for industrial, commercial, and residential developments across Europe. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. BIM Modelling & Design (70%)

Model Development

• Develop and maintain BIM models for structural projects using Revit.

• Create detailed 2D and 3D models of structural components, including rebar, precast elements, steel structures, and concrete.

• Continuously update and manage BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.

Design Integration & Quality

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate structural designs into overall project models.

• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.

• Understand clash detection results and amend models accordingly.

• Assist in the preparation of construction documents, drawings, and schedules.

• Participate in project coordination meetings and provide input on model-related issues.

• Support the implementation of BIM standards and best practices within the organisation.

2. Quality, Reporting & Development (30%)

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all BIM deliverables meet GBC quality standards and client specifications before submission.

• Follow QA/QC procedures and company SOPs; flag non-conformances to the Team Leader immediately.

• Maintain accurate notes, records, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Reporting & Self-Development

• Record working hours accurately on correct projects and tasks daily.

• Participate in company training sessions and self-educate per guidelines from the Line Manager.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other tasks as assigned by Line Manager.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in BIM modelling, preferably in the structural discipline.

• Proficiency in Revit.

• Strong understanding of structural design principles, construction methods, and relevant building codes (Eurocode preferred).

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in model creation and documentation.

• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

• Good English communication skills for professional correspondence.
