Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with data analysts, business users, and other stakeholders to identify data requirements, implement solutions, and ensure data meet their reporting and analytical needs
- Develop logical and physical data models to ensure the efficient organization of data within the database
- Optimize queries to improve performance of the database.
- Implement data validation and cleansing routines to monitor and ensure the accuracy and consistency of data within the data base
- Troubleshoot and resolve any data-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Document technical specifications, data models, ETL processes, data flow diagrams, and other relevant technical details for future reference and team collaboration,
- Regularly perform testing group data mart to ensure that they meet functional and performance requirements.
- Monitor work progression ensuring completion of assignments by requested due date.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years previous relevant experience preferred.
- Strong skills in SQL, SAS for querying, data transformation, and optimization
- Ability to design and understand data schema models suitable for data mart
- Good in integrating data from multiple sources
- Understanding of data quality principles to maintain data accuracy
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and find efficient solutions to technical challenges
- Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and documenting processes.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams, including data analysts and business users
- Dedication to keeping up with the latest tools, and technologies in the data engineering field.
