Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Department: Operations KOTO Restaurant
Reports to: Enterprise Director
Job Purpose
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations of KOTO Restaurant, ensuring high standards of service, food & beverage quality, and customer satisfaction. The role also involves leading, training, and motivating staff while aligning with KOTO's mission of empowering disadvantaged youth through hospitality training.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards.
- Manage reservations, guest complaints, and special requests professionally.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
People Management
- Lead, train, and supervise front-of-house staff, including trainees.
- Develop staff schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment aligned with KOTO values.
- Provide regular feedback and coaching for staff development.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Assist in managing budgets, costs, and inventory control.
- Monitor daily sales, prepare reports, and support revenue growth initiatives.
- Implement upselling techniques and service enhancements to maximize revenue.
Customer Experience & Quality Control
- Ensure excellent guest experiences and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Collect and analyse customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and menu execution.
Community & Training Integration
- Collaborate closely with the Training Department (Foundation team) to integrate trainees into restaurant operations.
- Support KOTO's mission by mentoring trainees and creating a learning environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- At least 35 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Good financial acumen and problem-solving ability.
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese (both verbal and written).
- Passion for social impact and alignment with KOTO's values.
