We are seeking a Research Operations Manager to oversee experimental procedures and support R&D research projects, ensuring high-quality laboratory operations, efficient workflows, and robust quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for genetic testing workflows.
- Design and implement quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures for genetic testing assays.
- Manage clinical information and research project documentation.
- Plan, forecast, and manage laboratory reagents, consumables, and chemical inventories.
- Monitor, analyze, and report test performance, QC metrics, and deviations.
- Assign tasks and manage laboratory personnel for sample processing and testing.
- Support the interpretation, verification, and reporting of genetic test results.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of results for both clinical and research samples.
- Train new staff in laboratory techniques, workflows, SOPs, and quality systems.
- Support other teams in setting up new laboratories or implementing new genetic testing pipelines.
- Prepare and deliver genetic testing results for research studies.
- Address newly arising technical or operational issues in the laboratory.
- Work closely with bioinformatics, clinical, production, and quality teams to resolve problems and improve workflows.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
Experience
- Proven experience in staff management and large-scale sample management.
- Experience working in genetic testing, molecular diagnostics, or sequencing laboratories is required.
- Prior experience in an R&D or laboratory management role is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong background in molecular biology techniques (e.g., DNA/RNA extraction, library preparation, PCR).
- Hands-on experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) platforms and workflows.
- Knowledge of sequencing data quality metrics and laboratory QC processes.
Software & Data Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data tracking, reporting, inventory management).
- Working knowledge of Python for data processing, automation, or analysis is required.
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in clinical genomics or regulated laboratory environments.

- Experience in SOP development and laboratory accreditation processes.
Salary: Minimum 14mil gross to 35mil gross
