About the Opportunity
On behalf of our international client, we are hiring a Principal JavaScript Engineer to support their outsourcing team building AI-integrated products in FinTech. Our client is a modern product-oriented company building AI-first solutions for automation and workflow enhancement.
Joining the team as a Principal JavaScript Engineer, you will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to set technical direction, architect robust AI-first solutions, and deliver reliable, maintainable software. You will also play an important role in integrating AI in a thoughtful and pragmatic way across our products and internal workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable engineering solutions.
- Apply AI in practical and impactful ways to automate and enhance customer workflows.
- Build and operate systems capable of supporting advanced AI workloads at scale.
- Uphold strong engineering standards, including testing, code quality, and long-term maintainability.
- Communicate clearly and collaborate across teams to ensure alignment and predictable delivery.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership, helping elevate the broader engineering organization.
Requirements
Technical skills:
- 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience, including leading the delivery of complex systems.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. (BE: NodeJS or NestJS; FE: ReactJS or VueJS).
- Strong experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB), and ORMs (TypeORM, Mongoose).
- Experience designing scalable architectures, APIs, and services with strong testing and observability practices
- Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps fundamentals.
- Demonstrated success building and shipping production-grade applications in SaaS, B2B, FinTech, or similar environments.
- Hands-on experience developing and integrating AI-powered features (LLM-based automation, classification, document processing).
- Working knowledge of AI development and evaluation tools (vector search, embedding, prompt frameworks).
Soft skills:
- Excellent communication skills for close collaboration with Product, Design, and QA teams.
- Proven history of mentoring engineers and improving engineering quality across teams.
- Strategic thinking for setting technical direction and architect AI-first solutions.
- Pragmatic approach to integrating new technologies into workflows.
