Release Train Engineer's (RTE) major responsibilities are to manage and coordinate delivery in line with our Domain operating model, partnering with product owners and engineering as well as all technology teams required. RTEs communicate with stakeholders, plan delivery, resolve and escalate impediments, manage finances and risk and drive relentless improvement.
This role is also a servant leader and a coach for Agile Release Train (ART) and supports the implementation of new and better ways of working using Agile frameworks and methods
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Release Orchestration - Drive release planning, cross-squad flow, and execution rhythm

- Orchestrate end-to-end release planning and execution across multiple squads and streams.
- Manage release train cadence, sequencing, and delivery flow to ensure predictability.
- Coordinate integration, testing, deployment, and release readiness, including rollback planning.
- Actively manage dependencies, risks, and impediments to maintain delivery momentum.
Outcome Alignment & Planning - Align delivery to business outcomes and cross-team priorities
- Drive 90-day planning and progressive elaboration to translate business outcomes into executable work.
- Align delivery to strategic priorities and business outcome roadmaps across business and technology.
- Coordinate post inception backlogs and roadmaps across squads to ensure alignment and reduce duplication.
- Align planning with capacity constraints and delivery sequencing to enable predictable outcomes.
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure prioritisation reflects business value, risk, and dependencies.
Governance & Visibility - Provide clarity, communications, and decision support
- Establish and monitor operational metrics (predictability, throughput, cycle time, delivery vs plan).
- Provide clear, consistent visibility of progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to stakeholders.
- Drive data-informed decision making through actionable insights and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to delivery governance, quality standards, and control frameworks.
- Continuously improve delivery efficiency and Agile maturity through coaching and ways-of-working uplift.
Delivery Lead - Act as the primary liaison between business and technology, ensuring strategic alignment.
- Lead cross-domain coordination for complex, multi-disciplinary business outcomes.
- Own end-to-end orchestration of large-scale initiatives, balancing competing priorities and stakeholders.
- Drive long-term planning and roadmap alignment (12-month horizon) across domains.
- Provide leadership across multi-squad delivery, ensuring cohesion, alignment, and delivery accountability.
- Influence strategic decisions, investment alignment, and stakeholder outcomes at senior levels.
- Lead Scrum of Scrums and cross-squad ceremonies to surface dependencies and unblock delivery.
- Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
Must have
- Minimum of 10 years experience in end-to-end project management, delivering large-scale IT projects and products
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple squad teams and business stakeholders
- Demonstrated strength in stakeholder management across technical, business, and delivery functions
- Experience across Agile and adaptive delivery models and mindsets.
- Track record of strong experience operating effectively and delivering consistent results in a large complex business.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Good business awareness and commercial understanding.
Nice-to-have
- Tertiary degree in finance, Banking and IT from a recognised institution is preferred.
- Agile Certification desirable.
