Our client – a global industrial trading company is looking for a regional finance controller.
Job Description:
- Ensure compliance with global and local standards, including US GAAP, local statutory reporting, legal, tax, and internal controls.
- Oversee the financial accounting, reporting, and controlling functions for the legal entities in-country.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including statutory filings, tax returns, VAT, and other regulatory obligations.
- Manage audits, liaise with external auditors, and ensure accurate and timely statutory reporting.
- Establish and maintain local (finance) governance frameworks aligned with local and global regulations including assurance and internal controls.
- Monitor and control cash flow, treasury activities, and bank relationships.
- Support local leadership as a business partner, optimizing financial performance, incl. reviews during project execution.
- Assist in financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (CPA, ACA, CMA, or equivalent qualification preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in financial controlling, business finance, or regional finance management in a multinational or B2B industrial companies.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, business performance management, and project controlling.
- Experience leading finance functions across multiple countries
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), financial analytics tools, and Excel.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
