About this Position We are seeking a Regional Business Development & Sustainability Manager to drive commercial growth through sustainable adhesive solutions, with a primary focus on the Sports Footwear market across Southeast Asia.
This is a business development role leveraging sustainability as a strategic differentiator to win customers, strengthen our market position, and accelerate the adoption of innovative adhesive technologies. You will act as the critical link between our commercial, technical, innovation, and market strategy teams, ensuring our sustainable solutions stay ahead of evolving customer and market demands
Your Role
- Shape and drive the regional sustainability strategy across Southeast Asia by translating Henkel/Consumer Goods Adhesives targets into clear priorities and tangible actions tailored to the Sports Footwear, Non-Wovens, and Packaging & Labeling industries.
- Identify and manage new business opportunities to accelerate the growth of sustainable adhesive solutions across key applications and segments.
- Develop compelling value propositions for both our existing portfolio and new innovations, clearly articulating and quantifying the sustainability differentiation and customer benefit.
- Act as the regional voice for sustainability, positioning our solutions and innovations with strategic customers and at industry events, while identifying portfolio gaps and channeling them into product development priorities.
- Upskill customer-facing teams by building their sustainability knowledge and providing the tools to confidently drive adoption of our sustainable offerings.
What You Brings
Experience
- 5+ years in Business Development / Sales, technical background in Application Engineering / Technical Service, or Sustainability Management.
- Proven experience in the Sports Footwear industry with a solid understanding of the supply chain and manufacturing landscape.
- Exposure to or interest in sustainable adhesive technologies and impact measurement methodologies (e.g., LCA/CO footprint, circularity principles) is a plus.
- Awareness of compliance frameworks (e.g., ZDHC, Nike MSI, Higg Index) and relevant regulations (e.g., REACH, VOC) is an advantage.

- Strong commercial acumen experienced in building pipelines and closing business.
- Genuine passion for sustainability committed to driving sustainable portfolio transformation.
- Change management capability able to shift behaviors and mindsets through influence rather than authority.
