The Opportunity
Based in Vietnam, this is a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of rail infrastructure across Vietnam and the broader APAC region. As Associate Principal – Rail Infrastructure Team Leader, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex transport projects, and drive strategic growth initiatives.
You will be instrumental in delivering innovative, sustainable, and digitally enabled rail solutions, while fostering strong relationships with clients, government stakeholders, and industry partners.
Your role in our team
- Lead the delivery of major rail and transportation projects in Vietnam.
- Champion innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation in design and delivery.
- Serve as Principal-in-Charge or Project Director for high-profile infrastructure projects.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, government bodies, and industry partners.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
- Oversee project performance including design management, programming, reporting, and cost control.
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning and business development initiatives.
Is this role right for you
- Extensive experience in rail infrastructure design, work-winning, and project management.
- Recognised tertiary qualifications in engineering and professional chartered status.
- Familiarity with Vietnamese transport regulations and international standards.
- Proven leadership in multidisciplinary project teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets, contracts, and performance.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical environments.
- Ability to remain positively motivated and foster team spirit under pressure.
