R&D Manager (Supervisor)

Key Responsibilities

Product Development

• Lead the development of new food products from concept to commercial launch.
• Drive product reformulation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, cost, and performance.
• Develop and optimize formulations, processing methods, and manufacturing procedures.
• Conduct product trials, pilot runs, and factory validations to ensure successful commercialization.

Technical & Innovation

• Identify market trends, emerging technologies, and consumer insights to drive product innovation.
• Evaluate new ingredients and suppliers to improve product quality and competitiveness.
• Provide technical support to Production, Quality, Sales, and Marketing teams.
• Troubleshoot product and process issues and recommend effective technical solutions.

Project Management

• Manage multiple R&D projects simultaneously while ensuring timelines and project objectives are achieved.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams during product development and commercialization.
• Prepare technical documentation, product specifications, and development reports.

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure all products comply with food safety regulations, customer requirements, and applicable standards.
• Work closely with QA and Regulatory teams to maintain compliance with local and international regulations.
• Support customer audits and technical inquiries when required.

Team Management

• Lead, coach, and develop the R&D team.
• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Food R&D, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of food processing, ingredients, food safety, and quality systems.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Good command of English.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
