We are seeking a passionate and analytical R&D Scientist to join our Research & Development team. In this role, you will leverage numerical analysis, computational simulations, and engineering research to develop innovative structural engineering solutions.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate structural system performance, conduct research studies, support physical testing, and contribute to the development of next-generation engineering technologies. The role offers opportunities to work across structural, seismic, thermal, fire, and vibration engineering applications.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform numerical analysis and computational simulations to evaluate structural system performance under various loading scenarios.

• Develop and implement computational models and numerical algorithms using finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
• Conduct literature reviews, code evaluations, and technical research to support innovation and product development.
• Participate in research studies, concept development, prototyping, and validation activities.
• Analyze simulation results and prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations.
• Support and contribute to physical testing programs to validate computational models and improve prediction accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges.
• Apply programming and automation tools to improve analysis workflows and research efficiency. (e.g., Matlab, VB, R).
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and research developments within structural engineering.
Requirements:
R&D Scientist I
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in computational mechanics, structural analysis, or related fields.
• Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) concepts and engineering simulation tools.
• Strong interest in research, innovation, and technical problem solving.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
R&D Scientist II
• Master's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline. Ph.D. preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in computational mechanics, structural analysis, or related fields.
• Experience conducting advanced simulations and independent research projects.
• Experience with scientific publications or research papers is a plus.
• Relevant professional engineering certifications (e.g., EIT, PE) are considered a plus.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
Technical Skills
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and computational simulation.
• Experience with Abaqus, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, SAP2000, ETABS, or similar software.
• Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, VBA, or similar languages.
• Technical report writing and data analysis.
Additional Information
• Occasional travel (approximately 5%) may be required for training, workshops, conferences, or physical testing activities.
• This position is primarily office-based with opportunities to participate in laboratory and testing activities as needed.
