Job Description

Gant Footwear is entering an exciting new phase. From SS27, footwear is being brought fully in-house, marking a rare opportunity to build a global footwear business from the ground up within an iconic premium brand.

As part of this journey, we are strengthening our sourcing and quality organization to ensure excellent execution, strong partnerships, and uncompromising product quality. This role plays a key part in safeguarding our standards during high-volume production and supporting a smooth, on-time go-to-market.

As Quality Inspector, you support day-to-day quality operations at our supplier factories, ensuring that products meet Gant's technical requirements and brand standards throughout the production process.

The role is hands-on and operational, with a strong presence at factories, focused on early detection of risks, consistency in execution, and close collaboration with factory QA teams. You will work closely with the Quality Manager and support high-volume production primarily in India and Vietnam.

Responsibilities

Inspection & Quality Control

  • Conduct in-line, pre-final, and final inspections in accordance with AQL standards
  • Monitor critical production stages such as cutting, stitching, assembly, and finishing
  • Inspect production samples and pre-production full-size trials, identifying defects or deviations from approved standards
  • Prepare clear, structured inspection reports including measurements, findings, and technical feedback

Production Monitoring & Escalation

  • Track bulk production progress and SMS sample timelines to support on-time delivery
  • Follow up on production status and escalate risks, delays, or quality concerns early to the Quality Manager
  • Support factories in troubleshooting recurring defects and implementing corrective and preventive action

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with factory QA teams to align on inspection processes, documentation, and quality expectations
  • Coordinate with sourcing, operations, and logistics teams regarding sample deliveries and production timelines
  • Provide regular operational updates and quality status reports to the Quality Manager
  • 58 years of experience within footwear QA/QC, preferably in factory environments
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of AQL and factory inspection methodologies
  • High attention to detail and ability to perform under time pressure
  • Clear, structured communication and reporting skills
  • Willingness to travel locally between supplier sites
