Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering and integration of subsea production control systems, including hardware and software components.
- Contribute to NPI and R&D efforts by evaluating emerging technologies, prototyping new control solutions, and supporting product qualification and field trials.
- Develop and review functional design specifications, control narratives, and system architecture documents.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (API 17F, IEC, ISO) and client specifications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Support troubleshooting and optimization of existing subsea control systems.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and innovation workshops to drive technical excellence and product differentiation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Automation, or Control Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in automation engineering, with at least 5 years in subsea production control systems.
- Proficiency in PLC/DCS programming (e.g., Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Rockwell).
- Experience with SCADA systems, HMI development, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP).
- Familiarity with subsea control modules, EPU, MCS, and hydraulic/electrical distribution systems.
- Strong understanding of offshore oil & gas operations and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with digital technologies and remote monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards for industrial control systems.
Experience in product development cycles, prototyping, and technology qualification
