InCorp is seeking a highly motivated QA/QC Engineer for client in Vinh Long Province (formally Ben Tre Province). The QA/QC Mechanical Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality assurance and quality control for mechanical fabrication and manufacturing activities at the client's fabrication partner site. This role involves inspection, monitoring, auditing, and coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and third-party inspectors to ensure compliance with applicable international standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspection activities based on approved drawings, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), manufacturing process plans, welding procedures, and related project documents
- Monitor fabrication and manufacturing activities to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Conduct supplier shop audits when required, assessing compliance with Quality, Environment, and Health & Safety management systems
- Identify, prioritize, communicate, and support resolution of quality issues during fabrication
- Maintain and monitor calibration records for testing instruments and equipment used in projects
- Progressive sign-off of ITPs upon completion of inspection stages
- Coordinate inspection activities with clients or third-party inspectors, including inspection requests and scheduling
- Communicate quality issues to project managers and propose corrective and preventive actions
- Control inspection activities for skids and modules fabricated under the project
- Prepare and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required and ensure closure prior to shipment
- Review inspection and testing reports and ensure compilation of Manufacturer Data Records (MDR)
- Prepare flash reports and weekly quality reports to track fabrication and documentation status
- Issue final inspection release notes upon completion of all inspection activities
- Stop work when health, safety, or quality risks are identified (e.g. non-compliance with PPE, unsafe equipment, or unapproved documentation)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in fabrication/manufacturing environments, especially pressure vessels, skids, modules, or pipe spools in accordance with International codes & Standards (ASME Sec VIII/ Sec IX/ AWS D1.1 / Sec V, ASME B31.3 /ASME B31.1).
- Familiarity with international mechanical and welding codes and standards
- Good English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Strong coordination and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Australian standards is an advantage
