Overview:
The Quality Assurance Tester ensures product quality by testing, detecting, and mitigating bugs or issues that could impact business efficiency and user experience. This role focuses not only on functional testing but also contributes to improving the entire product development lifecycle, from planning through deployment. You will work closely with the Agile Squad to optimize testing processes and align product performance with digital business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Product Quality & User Experience Evaluation
- Perform functional testing to ensure features meet the specific requirements provided by the Product Owner or Business Analyst.
- Ensure the product functions correctly across various devices, browsers, and operating systems (cross-platform testing).
- Detect and report issues affecting the User Experience, such as non-intuitive interfaces or slow performance, and propose improvements to increase user engagement.
Process Optimization & Automation
- Design detailed test scenarios and test cases covering all potential user use cases.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase efficiency and accuracy, particularly for frequently used features.
- Measure system performance under high-load conditions to ensure product stability as the user base grows.
Bug Management & Business Alignment
- Detects and logs system bugs while analyzing root causes to provide recommendations for fixes.
- Test features specifically related to Key Performance Indicators, such as increasing conversion rates or improving transaction completion times.
- Provide detailed reports on product quality, including bug rates, test coverage, and Mean Time to Repair.
Skills & Experience We Are Looking For
- 3 to 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in Financial Technology or Digital Banking.
- Experience testing electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) flows, biometric authentication, and loan interest calculation logic is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with State Bank of Vietnam Circulars regarding mobile application security (e.g., Root or Jailbreak detection).
- Experience working in Agile processes, including participation in Sprint Planning and Daily Standups.
- Effective written and alternative communication skills to collaborate with Developers and stakeholders.
