We are looking for a strong QMR Manager to join our YCC Plant in Vietnam and lead the plant's quality management system, audit readiness, documentation control, and continuous improvement agenda.
About the Role
The QMR Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the plant's Quality Management System to ensure compliance with global, local, customer, and certification requirements. This role will act as a key quality representative for the plant, working closely with plant leadership, QA/QC, production, engineering, supply chain, and regional quality teams.
The role will focus on strengthening quality systems, driving audit readiness, managing corrective and preventive actions, improving documentation control, and ensuring that quality standards are consistently applied across plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the plant Quality Management System, ensuring alignment with internal standards, customer requirements, and external certifications.
- Establish and improve quality processes, procedures, document control, and reporting systems.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, including pre-audit preparation, audit execution, follow-up actions, and closure of findings.
- Manage NC / CAR / CAPA tracking and ensure timely completion of corrective and preventive actions.
- Support the development and implementation of quality tools such as RCA, PDCA, FMEA, SPC, quality incident reporting, and escalation processes.
- Work closely with QA/QC, production, engineering, warehouse, and other plant functions to ensure consistent quality compliance.
- Consolidate and report quality performance, audit results, open issues, risks, and improvement actions to plant and regional stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and training to plant teams on quality systems, documentation requirements, audit standards, and quality practices.
- Promote a strong quality culture and continuous improvement mindset across the plant.
- Support compliance with relevant standards such as ISO, BRC, IFS, HACCP, GMP, food safety, customer audit requirements, and applicable local regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Solid experience in Quality Management System, QA/QC, food safety, audit management, or plant quality operations.
- Strong knowledge of quality and food safety standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC, BRC, IFS, HACCP, GMP, or equivalent systems.
- Experience managing internal audits, external audits, customer audits, NC / CAR / CAPA, and document control.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis, corrective action follow-up, and quality reporting.
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, ownership, and attention to detail.
- Good command of English; VN language capability is required for plant-level communication.
- Experience in food, seafood, FMCG, or export manufacturing will be an advantage.
