About the Role
- As a QC Leader, you will lead a team of game testers to ensure the highest quality standards for our clients games across multiple platforms. You will be responsible for planning, assigning, and monitoring test activities, ensuring timely and accurate bug reporting, and collaborating closely with developers and project stakeholders. This role requires both hands-on testing expertise and strong leadership skills to guide and mentor the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Game Testers, ensuring efficient allocation of tasks and high performance.
- Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases for various projects.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to ensure testability.
- Coordinate daily testing activities, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of test results.
- Validate, reproduce, and prioritize bugs, ensuring clear documentation and communication to developers.
- Ensure functional, regression, UI/UX, performance, and localization testing are properly executed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product, and client teams) to align on quality goals.
- Drive improvements in testing processes, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and coverage.
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and support career development of testers.
- Ensure deadlines are consistently met, communicate risks or delays proactively to management and clients.
- Act as a point of contact with clients regarding QC processes, deliverables, and issue resolution.
You Should Have:
- 5+ years of experience in software/game QA/QC, with at least 12 years in a leadership/mentoring role.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, bug lifecycle, and quality assurance practices.
- Experience in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Google Docs/Sheets).
- Familiarity with multiple platforms (Mobile, PC, Console, Web) and game genres.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate feedback and guide a team.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of player experience.
Nice to Have
ISTQB or other QA certification.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Familiarity with automation testing tools or scripting.
Prior experience in client communication or outsourcing projects.
