ROLE PURPOSE

The QA/QC Technician Intern will support the management and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS), including documentation, implementation and compliance activities related to HACCP, FSSC 22000 and other food safety standards. As a key member of the prerequisite programs, the intern will support the traceability system, cleaning & sanitation program and GMP/5S program, while also spending part of their time working alongside the QC team on daily quality control activities to build a solid, hands-on understanding of the end-to-end product workflow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

QMS Documentation & Compliance

  • Support the management and maintenance of QMS documentation (procedures, forms, records) in compliance with HACCP, FSSC 22000 and other applicable food safety standards.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance activities related to food safety standards across departments.

Traceability System (Prerequisite Program)

  • Build and maintain checklists and records for production (CTP - critical process points & quantity) and QC (CTQ - critical quality points & quality results), covering the full flow from incoming ingredients to finished goods shipment.
  • Support mass balance tracking and verification across the production process.
  • Support compliance with EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation) requirements, including maintaining traceability documentation and records.

Cleaning & Sanitation Program (Prerequisite Program)

  • Support the QA/QC Supervisor in updating master data and records for the cleaning and sanitation program, covering infrastructure, machinery & equipment, and personal hygiene.
  • Support the implementation and verification of cleaning and sanitation activities.

GMP/5S Program (Prerequisite Program)

  • Take part as a key member of the GMP/5S program: build checklists and conduct internal audits together with team members.
  • Record audit findings, follow up on CAPA (corrective and preventive actions), and report on implementation frequency and status.

QC Daily Operations Support (at least 30% of working time)

  • Join the QC team in daily tasks such as incoming materials check, in-process production quality control, and finished product release.
  • Build hands-on knowledge of the product workflow from beginning to end to contribute effectively to QMS development.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in food technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Detail-oriented, careful and systematic, with good documentation and record-keeping habits.
  • Good English skills: able to read and understand technical/standard documents in English; basic written communication.
  • Implement AI solutions to improve the speed and efficiency of documentation tasks while adapting to practical business needs.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); willing to learn digital documentation tools (e.g. SharePoint).
  • Willing to work on the production floor and spend field time as part of daily QC activities.
  • Able to commit to the internship for at least 4-6 months.
  • Proactive, responsible, able to work independently and as part of a team.

PREFERABLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic knowledge of HACCP, GMP and FSSC 22000 or other GFSI food safety standards.
  • Understanding of traceability and mass balance concepts in food manufacturing.
  • Awareness of or interest in EUDR and other sustainability/traceability regulations.
  • Experience with internal audits, checklists, or CAPA processes is a plus.

Working time: Monday - Friday

Working location: Marou Factory: Lot D1, D2, Road No. 3, Binh Chieu Industrial Park, Binh Chieu Ward, Thu Duc City, HCMC.
