As the QA & QC Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the data we provide our clients is 100% accurate at all times by implementing and maintaining enterprise-grade quality control and automation processes. Your role is crucial in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the data retrieved from various platforms. You will work in direct communication with the team of developers and be part of the team building the new version of the data platform. This gives you the opportunity to implement best practices and solutions from the very beginning.
Accountabilities /Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance: Designing, developing and executing the overall framework to ensure data accuracy of our platform: comprehensive test plans to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors in the data. This includes both manual and automated testing procedures to ensure the highest standards of data quality.
- Quality Control: Monitoring and verifying the data on an ongoing basis to ensure it meets the required standards. This involves regular audits and reviews to detect and address any issues promptly.
- Automation: Implementing automation tools and scripts to streamline the data retrieval and validation processes. This will help in reducing manual efforts and increasing efficiency.
- Collaboration: Working closely with the developer team to provide feedback and insights on data quality issues. You will also collaborate with other stakeholders to understand their data requirements and ensure that the data provided meets their needs.
- Documentation: Maintaining detailed documentation of the quality control processes, test plans, and any issues encountered. This will help in ensuring transparency and accountability in the data management process.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
- MBA or postgraduate certification in analytics or digital transformation is a plus.
Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in manual and automated Quality Control, preferably within a SaaS, consulting or data environment.
- Experience managing a team of 3-4 people
- Demonstrated successful implementation of fully automated tests pipelines.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL
- Experience with Airflow DAGs, python scripts is a plus
- Experience reading Software and enhancing software Logs is a plus
- Experience as a Software Engineer is a plus
Technical Competencies/ Skills
- Automation: Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, or Bash for automating QA processes.
- Database Management: Understanding of database management systems and the ability to write and execute complex queries.
- Testing Frameworks: Familiarity with testing frameworks like pyTest, GitHub Workflow, or similar for automated testing is a plus.
