Job Description

As a QA Automation Technical Manager, you will be responsible for defining and executing the automation vision for embedded video and AI products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of QA automation engineers, promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test strategies and frameworks for embedded AI systems, including both hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testing.
  • Establishing quality metrics, tracking results, and communicating insights to stakeholders to drive product quality improvements.
  • Working closely with embedded software, AI/ML, cloud, and product teams to integrate quality throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Developing and maintaining automated tests covering functionality, performance, reliability, and security.
  • Evaluating, selecting, and rolling out appropriate automation tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Performing root cause analysis of defects and partnering with engineering teams to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Continuously improving QA processes, methodologies, and standards while staying current with industry trends in automation, embedded systems, and AI.
  • Managing priorities, timelines, and deliverables for the QA automation team.

The Successful Applicant


You are a technically strong leader with deep experience in quality automation and embedded systems, and you bring a collaborative, improvementdriven mindset.

You will likely have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Extensive experience in quality assurance, including several years leading or managing QA automation teams.
  • Proven success designing and running automation frameworks for complex software and hardware-based systems.
  • Strong programming skills in C++, Python, and JavaScript for test automation across embedded devices, web interfaces, IoT, or robotics platforms.
  • Experience testing cloud-connected solutions and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines on major cloud platforms.
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, and computer vision technologies and an understanding of how they impact testing strategies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • A structured, curious, and proactive approach, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and operate in an autonomous environment.
