DESCRIPTION
1. Leadership & Team Management
- Build and lead the QA team through recruitment, training, mentoring, and capability development planning.
- Allocate QA resources effectively across projects to ensure delivery timelines and product quality.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to align on project goals and quality standards.
- Coordinate with third-party IT vendors to manage defect resolution and ensure smooth project delivery.
2. Testing Strategy & Quality Management
- Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies including Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Estimate testing efforts, manage test execution, and ensure traceability between requirements and test cases.
- Monitor testing progress and provide regular reports to management on product quality, release readiness, and defect status.
- Establish and continuously improve QA standards, processes, and best practices within Agile/Scrum environments.
3. Automation & Technical Excellence
- Maintain and enhance the automation testing framework using Selenium and BDD (Gherkin).
- Review change requests, assess potential impacts, and identify opportunities to expand test automation coverage.
- Ensure high product quality by documenting defects clearly and facilitating Defect Triage meetings to resolve critical issues efficiently.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC, including at least 1 year in a QA Lead or QA Manager role.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience testing large-scale Web and Mobile applications.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium and BDD (Gherkin) for test automation.
- Solid knowledge of API Testing, Performance Testing, and Cross-browser Testing.
- Proficient in test management and issue tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical thinking, risk management, time management, and problem-solving skills.
2. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in SaaS or EdTech environments.
- Experience building and scaling QA teams from an early-stage setup.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps testing practices.
- Professional certifications such as ISTQB (Advanced Level) or Certified Agile Tester are a plus.
