QA Engineer (Middle/Senior)

This job is currently working remotely for KIMEI's Client (Singapore).

The Quality Assurance (QA) / Tester will establish the testing framework and execute rigorous quality

checks across the entire LMIS system. The platform consists of a complex administrative backend, web

portal, and mobile applications (iOS & Android). This role ensures that all system behaviors, user flows,

integrations, and performance metrics meet strict quality standards before delivery.

Key Responsibilities

● Test Planning & Strategy: Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios mapped

directly to the business logic and system requirements defined by the System Analyst (LLL).

● Execution of Tests: Perform manual and automated testing across multiple environments, covering

functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

● Cross-Platform Compatibility: Test usability and UI compliance on various web browsers

(Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and mobile operating systems (iOS and Android devices).

● Performance & Load Testing: Execute performance and stress tests to ensure the platform handles

high volumes of concurrent users (job seekers and employers) and large database queries.

● Bug Tracking & Reporting: Log, track, and prioritize system defects using Jira or similar project

management tools, collaborating closely with developers (LLL) for quick resolution.

● CI/CD Integration: Work with DevOps (LLL) to integrate automated testing suites into the

deployment pipeline.

● Test Automation Frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Appium (for mobile

iOS/Android testing)

● Scripting Languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java

● API Testing Tools: Postman, Newman, SoapUI, REST Assured

● Performance, Load & Stress Testing: Apache JMeter, K6

● Project Management & QA Tools: Jira, Confluence, Xray (Jira Test Management), Zephyr,

TestRail

● CI/CD Integration Tools: Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI

Technical Requirements

● Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

● Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester.

Core Skills:

○ Strong experience in both Manual and Automated Testing (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium,

Playwright).

○ API testing experience using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or JMeter.

○ Experience with issue tracking tools (Jira, Redmine) and Git version control.

○ Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

○ Excellent detail-oriented testing skills with the ability to identify edge cases and think from an

end-user's perspective.

○ English Language Proficiency: Good command of written and spoken English. Must be able to

write clear, concise, and structured test plans, test scenarios, and bug reports in English, and

communicate issues effectively to developers and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications (Pluses)

● Experience testing public administration portals, workflow automation tools, or large database

management portals.

● ISTQB certification (Foundation Level or Advanced Level).
