YOUR NEW ROLE CODE LEAP
This role is for CODE LEAP's sister-company named AINAVIO.
AINAVIO is a startup providing an all-in-one cloud solution for the e-commerce industry to gather, enrich, and distribute product content at scale. We are using AI and workflow automation to help our clients improve their product information management. As a spinoff of a consulting company, we already have a large e-commerce company as our client and are financially backed to get our product to the next level.
We are looking for an experienced
Backend Engineer (Python) to join our team and help us develop further our deep learning models for image processing and classification.
YOUR EXCITING TASKS
- Develop and maintain cloud-native backend services on AWS (e.g., ECS, SQS, SNS)
- Design and build scalable backend services using Python on a production running product
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs following industry best practices
- Write clean, maintainable code with proper testing coverage (unit and integration tests)
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
- Implement basic observability practices including logging and monitoring
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, QA, DevOps, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of production issues
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, especially in AI/LLM tooling
YOUR PROFILE AND YOUR PERSONALITY
- 4+ years of experience in backend software development using Python
- Strong Python skills with experience building production systems using FastAPI or similar frameworks
- Solid software engineering fundamentals: clean code, design patterns, testing discipline
- Experience with RESTful API design
- Hands-on experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Experience with automated testing using Pytest or similar
- Experience deploying or working with cloud-native applications (Azure preferred)
- Good problem-solving ability and willingness to take ownership
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Proficiency in English communication

- Hands-on experience building LLM-powered features: prompting, tool calling, agent frameworks
