Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, for a Purchasing Specialist focused on Packaging and Bakery Materials in the domestic market. The role involves sourcing and purchasing materials, coordinating with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery, assessing packaging designs, and maintaining quality control standards. The specialist will also conduct research to identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and optimize procurement processes to meet the organization's needs.

Job Description:

Sourcing & Procurement:

·      Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for:

·      Bakery raw materials (margarine, butter, compound chocolate, flour, additives, etc.)

·      Packaging materials (wrappers, boxes, cartons, films, etc.)

·      Collect quotations and conduct price comparison and analysis

·      Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead time, and MOQ

·      Execute strategic sourcing for key materials

Purchase Planning & Order Management:

·      Develop purchasing plans based on production schedules

·      Issue and manage Purchase Orders (PO)

·      Monitor delivery schedules and manage supply risks

·      Collaborate with production, logistics, and warehouse teams

System Operation (SAP / ERP):

·      Execute procurement processes in ERP/SAP system: Purchase Requisition (PR); Purchase Order (PO); Goods Receipt (GRN)

·      Monitor order and inventory status

·      Maintain supplier data, pricing, and lead time information

·      Reconcile invoices and payment details with the accounting team

·      Ensure accuracy and reliability of system data

Supplier Management:

·      Evaluate supplier performance (price, quality, delivery)

·      Build and maintain strategic partnerships

·      Handle claims, quality issues, and delivery delays

·      Participate in supplier audits when required

Cost Control & Optimization:

·      Identify cost-saving opportunities:

·      Alternative materials sourcing

·      MOQ and logistics optimization

·      Monitor market price trends of raw materials

·      Contribute to procurement cost reduction strategies

Reporting & Analysis:

·      Analyze procurement data and pricing trends

·      Prepare regular reports (cost, supply stability, risks, etc.)

·      Propose improvements to procurement processes

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields

Experience:

·      Minimum 3–5 years of experience in purchasing

·      Manufacturing experience is required (Food/Bakery industry preferred)

·      Experience in the following is a plus: Bakery raw materials procurement; Packaging materials sourcing

Skills & Competencies:

·      Strong negotiation and cost analysis skills

·      Problem-solving and risk management abilities

·      Good cross-functional collaboration skills

·      Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred)

System:

·      Hands-on experience with ERP/SAP is required (SAP MM module is an advantage)

·      Solid understanding of procurement process: PR → PO → GRN → Invoice

Language:

·      English proficiency is preferred (not mandatory)

·      Ability to work with overseas suppliers is an advantage

Others:

·      Strong sense of responsibility and ownership

·      Self-motivated and able to work independently

·      Ability to work under high pressure

SALARY: from 20.000.000 gross
