JOB INFORMATION:
- Position: Purchasing Specialist
- Department: Purchasing
- Report to: Purchasing Supervisor
- Working Location: Viettel Tower, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City.
JOB DUTIES:
- Implement global strategies in the Vietnam region.
- Follow up and manage the procurement process for all raw materials in Vietnam including import and local.
- Create POs & get approvals & place POs in accordance with MRP by the planning team.
- Negotiate & sign contracts with both overseas and local vendors about quantity, delivery plan & other operational terms following sourcing strategies by the global team.
- Follow up deliveries & coordinate with other departments to solve issues relating to quality, delivery, safety, etc.
- Update deliveries & customs issues if any.
- Follow up payment matters between accounting and vendors.
- Source new vendors if required by the global team.
- Deal contractual terms with vendors if required.
- Perform regular audits & supplier evaluation/development.
- Report open POs, PRs/POs & others if required.
- Execute other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor or the higher level.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or closely related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in the Purchasing (Raw Material & Packaging) & Import-Export field, preferably working at MNCs in the FMCG industry.
- Good English skills in both writing & speaking.
- Interpersonal skills to interact with all cross-function levels.
- Experience in using SAP, ERP & computer literacy.
- Good communication & negotiation skills.
