The Purchasing Officer is responsible for ensuring a stable and timely supply of both direct and indirect materials to support production activities. This role involves issuing purchase orders, tracking supplier deliveries, maintaining procurement data in the system, processing invoices, and coordinating closely with Production, Planning, Logistics, and Finance departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Raw Material Supply Management: Ensure a stable and continuous supply of raw materials for production units.
- Direct Material Procurement: Purchase direct raw materials required for production, including plastic resins and release paper.
- Indirect Material Procurement: Purchase indirect materials required for production, such as packaging materials, paper tubes, and cartons.
- Purchase Order (PO) Execution: Issue purchase orders to suppliers based on production requirements.
- System Maintenance: Update and maintain purchase orders within the ERP system.
- Expediting & Tracking: Coordinate and track supplier shipment schedules and arrival times at the warehouse.
- Receiving & Invoicing: Verify warehouse receiving quantities and processing invoice postings in the system.
- Forecast Updates: Update monthly purchase volumes with suppliers based on current procurement forecasts.
- Financial Reporting: Submit processed invoices for the month to the finance department at month-end.
- Supplier Maintenance: Complete monthly supplier maintenance and performance reports.
- Meeting Participation: Attend daily order and production meetings.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production Planning and Logistics departments to meet production demands.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- 3 years of working experience in purchasing from foreign suppliers.
- With plastic factory purchasing experience being a plus.
- Good communication skills in both English and Vietnamese. Basic Chinese speaking is an advantage.
- Proficient in the use of computers, including ERP system, database software, document management software, and Microsoft Office.
- Agile, proactive, strong communication skills; ability to interact productively with supervisors, peers
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Detail-oriented, good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group.
- Excellent time management.
- University graduated or equivalent required.

Location: Factory No. NX 23, Nam Tai Thai Binh International Co., Ltd., Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park, Thai Thuy Commune, Hung Yen Province, Vietnam (Former Thai Thuy District, Thai Binh Province)
Working time: Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 to 17:00 (Saturday is flexible, depending on operational demand and line manager's approval)
