Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Buying & Merchandise Planning (50%)

  • Develop annual and seasonal buying plans for apparel, accessories, souvenirs, and lifestyle products.
  • Identify new brands, designers, and product lines that align with the concept store's positioning.
  • Conduct market research, trend analysis, and competitor benchmarking to optimize product assortment.
  • Review sales performance and inventory levels to adjust buying & pricing strategies.
  • Ensure product quality, design relevance, and pricing competitiveness.

2. Supplier Management & Negotiation (30%)

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements.
  • Evaluate vendors based on product quality, service reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Manage contracts and resolve supplier-related issues.

3. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination (15%)

  • Monitor stock levels and collaborate with store operations and warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Work closely with logistics to manage shipping plans and customs procedures when needed.
  • Coordinate with Accounting & Finance for budgeting, cost control, and purchasing reports.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration (5%)

  • Work with Marketing and Visual Merchandising to support product launches and campaigns.
  • Align with Retail Operations to understand customer insights and store needs.
  • Provide training on product knowledge for store teams when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Fashion Merchandising, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in same position in purchasing/buying roles within retail fashion, lifestyle products, or concept store models.
  • Strong understanding of fashion trends, consumer behavior, and product curation.
  • Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and commercial mindset.
  • Proficiency in merchandising planning, cost calculation, and contract management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with strong ownership and decision-making.
  • Trend-driven, detail-oriented, and quality-focused.
  • Strong sense of aesthetics and product selection.
  • High integrity, teamwork spirit, and adaptability.
  • Good English communication.
