Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the purchasing function by co-ordinating, planning to ensure that purchased goods arrive on time; at the right specification, quality, and quantity; at good services and at the competitive prices.
  • Prepare the commercial contract/purchase order by consulting with superior on terms and conditions of the contract to ensure that terms and conditions are in line with department and company objectives
  • Co-ordinate with other functions on non-raw material purchase, service purchase by communication, discussion to ensure that specification and requirement are fully understood in a quality, timely manner at target price / cost
  • Directly involve with critical issues involving suppliers to ensure achievement of target price/ cost and quality.
  • Follow up on material RTV with suppliers for return, replacement or refund.
  • Contact with supplier and technical team to organize tender for construction or service to select right constructors.
  • Manage internal lead-time PR to PO, PR status, and collect feedback and with IT to improve PR software
  • Source and qualify supplier for maintenance spare parts, machined tooling, factory supply and General affair and organize tender for construction and service project
  • Lead the cost savings project per target listed in KPI.
  • Negotiate pricing, discounts and contractual terms with suppliers
  • Optimize shipment for cost saving
  • Allocate the best mean of transportation per shipping matrix
  • Timely create & maintain material master data and procurement status in ERP correctly.
  • Study and make use of ERP application to improve job quality
  • Generate various reports to support purchasing job
  • Co-operate with SQE and other departments to qualify material & supplier.
  • Coordinate with Marlow Industries to maintain and update material primary supplier in ERP timely
  • Monitor OTD supplier performance monthly and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Promote business relationship with suppliers
  • Department processes are reviewed/audited for continuous improvement and cycle time reduction opportunities
  • Records, reports and metrics are accurate and on time
  • Relevant Company Technology Control Plan, Export Compliance requirements, IP, IT, SOX and Quality procedures are understood and executed
  • A high standard of ethics, professionalism, competency, and quality is established and maintained

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant majors, such as business management, supply chain management or equivalent.
  • Having technical background is a plus.
  • At least 2+ years experience on MRO (Maintenance Repair Operation) & Service purchasing.
  • Knowledge in using ERP software (Glovia preferred)

Skills

  • Source for spare part, tooling and factory supply
  • Experience with problem analysis and resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others
  • Ability to recommend and implement improvements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with networked PC based computer system (MS Office, spreadsheets, access, graphics, Email, MRP systems, and accounting software)
  • Good supplier sourcing and negotiation skills.
  • Integrity and understanding of purchasing code of conduct.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities
  • Ability to excel in a cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environment
  • Handle special assignments promptly and professionally
  • Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and competency

Working Conditions

  • Work in office and production areas.
  • Some mental concentration patience
