The Project Manager (PjM)/Senior Bridge System Engineer (BrSE) role leads software development projects for the Japanese market, connecting teams in Japan and Vietnam to support successful project delivery. The position combines end-to-end project management, client communication, solution development, and team leadership while contributing to team growth and improved ways of working.
Responsibilities
- Manage software development, operation, and maintenance projects for the Japanese market
- Take ownership of project planning, estimation, scheduling, quality, requirements, profitability, and risk management
- Communicate with product managers and clients, analyse requirements, propose solutions, and prepare specifications
- Lead project members, coordinate offshore engineering teams, and manage resources
- Improve processes and frameworks to strengthen team performance
Requirements
- 4 or more years of experience as a BrSE or project manager in software development projects
- Experience in requirements definition, basic design, specification documentation, and acceptance testing
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development
- Strong client communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills
- Japanese speaking and listening proficiency equivalent to JLPT N1
- Good English communication skills
- Strong ownership, responsibility, and commitment to continuous learning
