POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Wind Project Manager to lead and manage onshore and offshore wind power projects in Vietnam. The role will be responsible for the full project execution cycle, including project planning, engineering coordination, construction management, installation, commissioning, client communication, contractor management, HSE, quality, cost control, schedule control, and final project handover.
The ideal candidate must be a Vietnamese national, fluent in English, and must have proven experience in offshore or nearshore wind power projects. Experience in both onshore and offshore wind projects is strongly preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the execution of onshore and offshore wind projects, ensuring delivery in accordance with project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and HSE requirements.
- Act as the key project interface with clients, owners, EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants, local authorities, and internal cross-functional teams.
- Manage project planning, construction schedules, resource allocation, risk management, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, logistics, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Monitor project milestones, identify delays or risks, and drive corrective actions to ensure timely project delivery.
- Manage offshore or nearshore project execution activities, including marine coordination, offshore logistics, installation planning, vessel/interface coordination, and site execution support.
- Ensure project compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, local regulations, HSE standards, and quality requirements.
- Lead regular project meetings, prepare project reports, and provide timely updates to senior management and clients.
- Manage project documentation, including progress reports, technical submissions, inspection records, NCRs, punch lists, handover documents, and final project dossiers.
- Support contract management, variation claims, project cost tracking, and commercial risk control.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, government authorities, and project partners.
- Lead and coordinate site teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.
REQUIREMENTS
- Vietnamese national. Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years of project management or construction management experience in energy, power, infrastructure, or renewable energy projects.
- Proven experience in wind power projects is required. Offshore or nearshore wind project experience is mandatory.
- Experience in onshore wind projects is strongly preferred. Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, are mandatory. The candidate must be able to communicate with international clients, internal global teams, and senior management in English.
- Strong project execution capability, including schedule control, contractor management, risk management, HSE management, and quality control.
- Good understanding of wind project construction, turbine installation, commissioning, site management, and project handover process.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work at project sites when required.
