JOB SUMMARY
Assistant PSE Engineer supports design improvement for mass production models. This role involves collaborating with Quality and Operations to resolve production line downtime and ensure products meet quality, safety, and performance standards.
PSE also supports additional initiatives such as duplicate/EOL tooling, alternate supplier qualification, and risk mitigation in various forms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
- Follow up PSE projects based on root cause from design to production implementation.
- Follow up competitive benchmarking and feasibility studies.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm component specifications, target cost, and lead time.
- Follow up handmade samples and rapid prototyping when needed.
- Prepare 3D layouts for ID to proceed with conceptual design.
- Initiate documentation such as BOM, ECO, and SER.
- Follow up tool plans, mold and die debugging, and evaluate new parts according to drawings.
- Follow up reliability testing with the QA laboratory.
- Keep product files updated.
- Follow up continuous product improvement actions.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- University Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a related role.
- Advanced knowledge of Injection Molding / Tooling Design and/or Metal Forming operations is an advantage.
- Experience in Gearbox systems & Motor structures is an advantage.
Knowledge
- Good computer skills, including Windows, Microsoft Office, email communication, and 2D/3D CAD.
- Familiarity with UG NX is preferred but not mandatory.
