Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Support Engineer to support critical banking and payment applications. The role is responsible for ensuring stability, availability, and operational support of production systems through proactive monitoring, vendor coordination, incident investigation, deployment support, and Splunk-based analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor & Change Management

  • Collaborate with vendors and project stakeholders to raise and manage change records
  • Coordinate and support implementation activities for production changes and deployments
  • Create and maintain detailed implementation run sheets and operational documentation

Deployment & Environment Support

  • Ensure minimal downtime and operational impact during planned changes
  • Support release validation and post-deployment monitoring activities

Certificate & Access Management

  • Coordinate certificate renewals with vendors and internal certificate management teams
  • Process and action myID access requests and related operational activities

Incident & Production Support

  • Respond to stakeholder queries relating to transactions, incidents, customer impacts, and application functionality
  • Investigate production issues using log analysis and transaction tracing

Monitoring & Observability

  • Build, maintain, and enhance Splunk dashboards, alerts, and queries
  • Proactively monitor platform health, incidents, and service availability using Splunk

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in Production Support, Application Support, or Technical Operations roles
  • Experience coding with Java
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Splunk queries and dashboard creation
  • Log analysis and transaction monitoring
  • Incident and change management processes
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and multiple business stakeholders
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in high-availability production environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours for planned overnight support activities when required
