This site will manufacture advanced products including high-speed connectors, cables, and optical devices.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead workshop operations, ensure smooth production processes, and maintain compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. This role includes managing preventive maintenance, ISO implementation, SAP operations, and acting as a substitute for the Assistant Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive achievement of section goals for quality, delivery, cost, and safety.
- Supervise daily production activities, including shift leader guidance, production plan adjustments, line rotations, downtime management, scrap reduction, and manpower control.
- Train and coach Production Engineers and team members on product specifications, line control, Kaizen, zero-defect initiatives, and QC tools.
- Oversee preventive maintenance, measurement inspection, material handling, and sub-material consumption.
- Conduct audits, review work instructions, and manage change points in workshops.
- Collaborate with Production Control, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
- Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement activities to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.
- Organize trial runs, layout setups for product transfers, and support new product development.
- Analyze problems and implement corrective actions for returned goods and quality notifications.
- Prepare abnormality reports and participate in delivery judgment meetings.
- Manage inventory counts (weekly, monthly, semi-annual) and assess team performance.
- Ensure compliance with company standards on 6S, EHS, EICC, social responsibility, and asset protection.
- Support Molex TQM, Six Sigma, ISO, and EH&S systems by following policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education:
- Required: College or University degree
Experience:
- Required: Minimum 7 years in manufacturing
- Preferred: Experience in assembly operations and leadership roles
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of product design, assembly processes, and measurement instruments
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proven ability in manpower control, coaching, and supervisory leadership
- Familiarity with Kaizen and continuous improvement practices
- Effective communication and reporting skills (Horenso)
- Language: Pre-intermediate English
