The Opportunity:
jmancurly (@jmancurly) is the #1 VR YouTube channel in the world - 5M+ subscribers, 2.5B+ views, 100M+ views per month. Behind the channel is a game studio, a toy line, and an entire creator ecosystem - all fueled by YouTube content.
We're hiring a senior-level Production Producer to own the YouTube production pipeline end-to-end. You'll run the content machine - managing editors, designers, animators, scripting, thumbnail strategy, and delivery schedules across multiple content formats and platforms.
This role starts with the flagship channel but has clear room to expand. There are 2 additional channels under the brand totaling 1.25M+ more subscribers - as you prove yourself, your scope grows with the business.
This is not a 9-to-5. This role demands someone who lives, breathes, and obsesses over content. You'll be working 12-15 hour days alongside a team that's building something massive. If that excites you - keep reading.
What You'll Own:
- Full production pipeline - Concept to publish. Manage the entire cycle: footage handoffs, edit timelines, review rounds, and upload schedules. Target output: 2 long-form videos per week and 3 shorts per day, every day
- Content calendar & scheduling - Build and maintain a rolling calendar across long-form, shorts, and sponsored content. Nothing misses a deadline on your watch
- Scripting & thumbnail ideation - Develop video concepts, scripts, and thumbnail strategies - or build and manage a team that does. You need a sharp creative eye for what gets clicks and what holds attention
- YouTube analytics & growth strategy - Live inside the analytics. Obsess over retention curves, CTR, audience segments, traffic sources, and publishing patterns. Use data to drive creative decisions, identify what's working, double down on winners, and scale production output strategically - not just by volume
- Team management & development - Lead a production team of editors, designers, and animators across multiple time zones. Create and maintain work motivation, develop individual skills, and level up the entire team. You're building careers, not just assigning tasks
- Quality control - Review all cuts before they reach the talent. Catch problems early. Reduce revision cycles. Be the filter that protects everyone's time
- Shorts pipeline - Systematize daily shorts output. Manage scripted shorts, batch quick shorts during recording sessions, and maintain consistent 3/day publishing
- Sponsored content delivery - Track brand deal deliverables, deadlines, and approval flows. Ensure all contractual content obligations are met on time, every time
- Cross-team resource coordination - Manage shared creative resources between YouTube production and game development without either side stalling
Who You Are:
- Senior-level experience in YouTube production or digital media. You've managed production for channels at scale (1M+ subscribers strongly preferred). This is not an entry-level role
- Proven ability to manage and develop creative teams - editors, designers, animators. You know how to motivate people, raise the bar, and grow talent
- Deep understanding of YouTube - the algorithm, thumbnails, retention, CTR, publishing cadence, A/B testing. You live in YouTube Studio analytics and use data to inform every decision. You've scaled production before, not just maintained it
- Creative chops - scripting, thumbnail concepting, and the editorial instinct to know what's going to perform. You can ideate or hire the right people who can
- Direct, fast, low-ego. This team moves at speed. No room for politics or unnecessary process
- VR gaming knowledge or the ability to get deeply acquainted with the VR space quickly. You should understand (or be ready to learn) what makes this market tick
- English fluency is required (written and verbal). Vietnamese is a strong secondary plus - you'll be working with a team based in Vietnam and across Southeast Asia
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In-office. Morning brief at 9AM daily
