Role Purpose

Production Planning Supervisor is responsible for developing and managing end-to-end production plans across multiple manufacturing units, ensuring optimal utilization of production capacity and resources. This role converts sales demand into actionable production schedules, coordinates material and semi-finished product availability, monitors operational risks, and serves as a key liaison between Production, Supply Chain, Sales Support, and Management to ensure on-time delivery and efficient factory performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop weekly and bi-weekly production plans based on sales demand forecasts.
  • Optimize production schedules and machine capacity utilization to maximize efficiency and output.
  • Ensure production plans align with inventory levels, material availability, and customer requirements.
  • Communicate and publish production schedules to production teams in a timely manner.

ERP Planning & Master Data Management

  • Create, release, and verify Production Orders within the ERP system.
  • Validate BOM accuracy, production parameters, yields, and material consumption.
  • Coordinate new SKU setup, FG code creation, and BOM updates with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and reconcile production order performance and data integrity.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Material Readiness

  • Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and related functions to ensure material and semi-finished product availability.
  • Monitor production readiness and proactively address potential supply constraints.
  • Manage dependencies between production units to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Support demand fulfillment through effective planning and resource allocation.

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and assess risks related to production capacity, material shortages, equipment downtime, and schedule deviations.
  • Escalate critical issues and propose mitigation plans to minimize business impact.
  • Monitor planning performance, investigate variances, and drive corrective actions.
  • Contribute to process improvements in production planning, BOM management, and operational efficiency.

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

  • Provide regular production performance reports and planning updates to management.
  • Participate in S&OP and cross-functional planning meetings.
  • Communicate production commitments, delivery timelines, and feasibility assessments to internal stakeholders.
  • Track planning accuracy, production KPIs, and operational performance trends to support decision-making

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 3–5 years of production planning, supply chain or operations in multi-SKU manufacturing
  • Hands-on ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/Odoo/equivalent) - creating and managing production orders
  • Understanding of BOM, MRP, and multi-level semi-finished product structures
  • Strong data analysis skills: advanced Excel (pivot, lookup, conditional logic)
  • Systems thinking: see cross-unit dependencies and anticipate cascading delays
  • Multi-level communication: from factory floor to senior management
  • Proactive, decision-making capable in fast-changing environments
  • Food, chocolate or FMCG industry experience

Working time: Monday to Friday

Working location: Binh Chieu Industrial Park, Thu Duc City, HCMC.
