Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Planning Manager (Project Manager – International Projects) to oversee production planning and scheduling for engineered products manufactured in our Vietnam facility for international construction and installation projects. In this role, you will lead master production scheduling (MPS), track technical milestone requirements, and coordinate fabrication timelines to match global project delivery site schedules. You will serve as the core bridge between our Vietnam factory operations, international engineering teams, overseas project sites, and global clients to ensure structural/technical products are delivered on time, within spec, and ready for site installation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Master Production Scheduling & Project Alignment: Develop and maintain detailed master production schedules aligned with overseas project milestones, site construction schedules, and delivery deadlines.
- Technical Project Management: Manage production lifecycle for custom engineered components—from engineering drawing release (BOM/CAD), material preparation, and factory fabrication to final trial assembly and packaging.
- Overseas Site & Client Coordination: Work closely with international project managers, site engineers, and overseas clients to manage engineering changes, production progress updates, and dispatch logistics.
- Capacity & Technical Capability Allocation: Assess Vietnam factory equipment capacity (cutting, welding, machining, surface treatment, assembly) and manpower to optimize throughput for complex technical orders.
- Export Logistics & Shipping Readiness: Partner with export logistics teams to coordinate containerization, heavy-lift shipping arrangements, and custom export packaging suitable for overseas transit and job-site offloading.
- Quality & Spec Adherence: Collaborate with QC teams to ensure products strictly adhere to international technical standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO, EN, BS) and client quality specifications prior to export.
- Risk & Supply Chain Management: Proactively identify material delays, technical bottlenecks, or shipping disruptions, implementing recovery plans to avoid site downtime abroad.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Management, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in production planning or project management within structural steel, heavy machinery, technical manufacturing, or construction/installation supply industries.
- Technical Understanding: Ability to read technical drawings, understand Bill of Materials (BOM), and track fabrication processes.
- Language Skills:Fluent in English (both written and spoken) for daily technical and business communication with overseas clients/project managers; Vietnamese for internal factory team leadership.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Project Management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, or Jira).
- Certifications: PMP or APICS (CPIM/CSCP) certification is a strong plus.
- Key Competencies: Strong cross-cultural communication, technical problem-solving, project leadership, and contract execution skills.
