Position Summary
- The Planner is responsible for translating customer demand into executable manufacturing plans and ensuring on-time delivery by coordinating materials, production schedules, capacity, and shipments.
- The role serves as a key interface between customers and internal functions including Production, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, and Customer Service
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer forecasts, purchase orders, and factory capacity.
- Monitor production loading and optimize capacity utilization to meet customer commitments.
- Create and manage production schedules in SAP, EMES, and related planning systems.
- Coordinate schedule changes and expedite activities to support customer priorities.
- Ensure production readiness prior to release to manufacturing.
Demand & Order Management
- Review customer forecasts and purchase orders for demand accuracy.
- Convert customer demand into executable manufacturing plans.
- Track demand fluctuations and communicate risks and opportunities to management.
- Support customer delivery commitments and shipment planning.
Material Planning & Readiness
- Monitor material availability against production requirements.
- Coordinate with Procurement to resolve material shortages and ensure timely delivery.
- Review BOM requirements and support material allocation activities.
- Track customer-owned materials and inventory status.
WIP & Factory Performance Monitoring
- Monitor WIP movement and cycle time throughout the manufacturing process.
- Identify bottlenecks and coordinate corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
- Drive recovery plans for schedule misses and capacity constraints.
- Maintain production performance reports and KPIs.
Shipment & Customer Support
- Coordinate finished goods shipment schedules with Logistics and Customer Service teams.
- Ensure on-time delivery performance and communicate shipment status to stakeholders.
- Support customer meetings, escalation management, and business reviews.
- Provide timely responses to customer inquiries regarding delivery, inventory, and production status.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Logistics, and Customer Service teams.
- Support new product ramp-up, line transfers, capacity expansion, and business continuity activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve planning accuracy and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or semiconductor manufacturing preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and production planning tools.
- Professional at Korean; Good communication skills in English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and cross-functional manufacturing environment.
