Production Manager (Textile, Technical)

Job Description

Production Line Planning & Setup:

·       Lead the planning and establishment of new production lines, ensuring equipment layout and capacity design meet project requirements.

·       Participate in the selection and evaluation of key equipment (weaving, coating, DTY texturizing, etc.) based on a strong understanding of critical fabric parameters such as fabric width, coating type, finishing (D/F), and raw materials (DTY/FDY).

·       Ensure production line capabilities support various fabric types required by the company and assess the impact of different fabric parameters on machine design and equipment selection.

Technical Research & Process Development:

·       Organize and actively participate in the study and research of the full textile manufacturing process, including DTY texturizing, weaving, washing, and coating.

·       Focus on coating processes and master the processing flow and technical requirements of different coatings such as PVC, PU, and acrylic.

·       Analyze chemical usage requirements and environmental pollution control solutions during production to ensure compliance with environmental regulations

Production Management & Team Development:

·       Develop production plans to ensure achievement of daily output targets and unit energy consumption goals.

·       Build, train, and manage the production team to improve technical skills and operational performance.

·       Establish, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while monitoring production quality, cost, and efficiency

Supply Chain & Cross-functional Collaboration:

·       Support fabric sampling, laboratory testing, and supplier sourcing and evaluation activities.

·       Lead or participate in technical visits to suppliers and conduct in-depth reviews of their production processes.

Required working experience

·       Minimum 8 years of experience in the textile industry.

·       At least 3 years in a Production Line Manager or equivalent management role.

·       Experience in setting up new production lines is a strong advantage.

Required qualifications

·       College diploma or higher.

·       Textile Engineering, Polymer Materials, or related disciplines is preferred

Required Languages:

·       Fluent in English

Required knowledge and skills

·       Strong expertise in the full production process of woven fabrics, especially outdoor and home furnishing textiles.

·       Solid understanding of DTY/FDY raw material characteristics and equipment/processes related to weaving, dyeing & finishing, and coating.

·       Knowledge of production capacity planning and energy efficiency management.

·       Basic understanding of environmental regulations and pollution control in the textile industry

·       Excellent project management, communication, coordination, and team leadership skills.

·       Willingness to travel frequently for supplier visits and technical research.

·       Good English reading and writing skills, capable of understanding technical documentation.
