Job Description

Manufacturing Operations

  • Lead day-to-day production activities to ensure output meets volume, quality, and delivery commitments.
  • Translate production plans into executable schedules across departments and work centers.
  • Monitor line performance and respond quickly to capacity gaps, delays, or material issues.
  • Balance manpower, machinery, and materials to achieve optimal productivity.

Workforce Leadership

  • Directly manage supervisors, shift leaders, and production personnel.
  • Establish clear performance standards and track team results against KPIs.
  • Coach supervisors on problem-solving, discipline, and team engagement.
  • Build a structured, respectful, and performance-driven shopfloor culture.
  • Handle workforce concerns and coordinate resolutions with HR when required.

Quality & Product Standards

  • Ensure all manufacturing output aligns with technical drawings, customer specifications, and export standards.
  • Maintain production discipline to prevent defects, rework, and customer complaints.
  • Investigate quality deviations and implement corrective actions with relevant teams.
  • Use production and defect data to reduce repeat quality issues.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in wood or furniture manufacturing.
  • Strong technical understanding of:
    • Wood processing and furniture assembly
    • Finishing systems (PU, coating, painting, etc.)
  • Hands-on exposure to export manufacturing for US/EU markets.
  • Proven ability to manage large production teams (100+ employees).
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing tools and 6S practices.
  • Solid leadership, analytical, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Working-level English communication.
