Job Description
Manufacturing Operations
- Lead day-to-day production activities to ensure output meets volume, quality, and delivery commitments.
- Translate production plans into executable schedules across departments and work centers.
- Monitor line performance and respond quickly to capacity gaps, delays, or material issues.
- Balance manpower, machinery, and materials to achieve optimal productivity.
Workforce Leadership
- Directly manage supervisors, shift leaders, and production personnel.
- Establish clear performance standards and track team results against KPIs.
- Coach supervisors on problem-solving, discipline, and team engagement.
- Build a structured, respectful, and performance-driven shopfloor culture.
- Handle workforce concerns and coordinate resolutions with HR when required.
Quality & Product Standards
- Ensure all manufacturing output aligns with technical drawings, customer specifications, and export standards.
- Maintain production discipline to prevent defects, rework, and customer complaints.
- Investigate quality deviations and implement corrective actions with relevant teams.
- Use production and defect data to reduce repeat quality issues.
The Successful Applicant- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in wood or furniture manufacturing.
- Strong technical understanding of:
- Wood processing and furniture assembly
- Finishing systems (PU, coating, painting, etc.)
- Hands-on exposure to export manufacturing for US/EU markets.
- Proven ability to manage large production teams (100+ employees).
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing tools and 6S practices.
- Solid leadership, analytical, and problem-resolution skills.
- Working-level English communication.
