Job Responsibilities
The Packaging Designer will drive the creative vision and execution of Razers product packaging and collaterals. As a key member of the creative team, this role focuses on designing innovative, brand-aligned packaging that captivates customers and elevates the Razer brand. Youll bring together aesthetics, functionality, and technical expertise to create packaging that stands out on the shelf and delivers an exceptional unboxing experience.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and design packaging, collaterals for Razer products from concept to production, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and market positioning.
- Collaborate closely with product designers, marketers, and copywriters to develop packaging that highlights key product features and appeals to our target audience.
- Create mock-ups, dielines, and print-ready files, ensuring accurate and high-quality production outputs.
- Review and approve proofs to maintain quality standards throughout printing and manufacturing.
- Research and analyze packaging trends, materials, and competitor designs to keep Razers packaging innovative and relevant.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders while maintaining creative integrity and brand consistency.
- Ensure packaging meets all regulatory, sustainability, and legal requirements in global markets.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure precision, quality, and cost efficiency in packaging production.
Pre-Requisites
- Minimum of 5+ years proven experience in packaging and collaterals design, preferably within the technology or consumer goods industry.
- Strong knowledge of mass printing processes, materials, and finishing techniques.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Keen eye for detail, aesthetics, and brand storytelling.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and project management skills for working with internal and external partners.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of 3D rendering and packaging visualization tools is a plus.
- Passion for gaming or experience in the gaming industry is highly desirable.
