Job Description

I. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. PRODUCT & TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT (60%):

a. Product Ownership (30%)

- Define clear business and user goals, write PRDs, and manage product backlogs.

- Lead user research and validation to deeply understand learners and parents pain points, and translate insights into actionable features.

- Proactively collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure product quality, scalability, and technical feasibility.

- Proactively work with cross-department stakeholders or third-party vendors to enhance product functionality and ecosystem integration.

b. Cross-Department Collaboration (30%)

- Serve as the key liaison for IT (VUS Operational system like ERP CoreEdu, VCore, VHub) and Corporate team, ensuring smooth integration and daily operations across systems.

- Coordinate with stakeholders from Curriculum Development, Academic, Marketing, Operations, and ASA Sales/Care to align product development with business goals.

2. PROJECT MANAGEMENT & PROCESS ENHANCEMENT (40%):

a. Agile (Scrum) project management(20%)

- Act as the Sprint Host, managing sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives for the scrum team.

- Ensure timely delivery of sprints, while maintaining clarity, communication, and accountability.

b. Operational Excellence (15%)

- Analyze and refine internal product workflows and collaboration frameworks.

- Provide advisory and process optimization support for Product and cross-functional teams.

- Document key processes and ensure operational improvements are effectively executed.

c. Helpdesk tickets & ad-hoc product operations management (5%)

- Support with Helpdesk tickets management, intern mentoring, and ad-hoc product operations tasks.

II. KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Product management/ownership, with proven track records in web/app development (preferably in-house digital products).

- Background in education, engineering, or Edtech domain (CRM, LCMS, LMS, or Virtual Classroom Systems) is a strong advantage.

- Hands-on experience in requirement analysis, prioritization, PRD writing, and sprint delivery.

- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams (engineering & design teams) in an agile environment.

2. Technical & domain skills

- Possess a logical and systematic thinking that effectively facilitates your stakeholders to build and develop a well-structured and optimal system.

- Hands-on experience in cross-functional stakeholders understanding, gathering requirements, prioritizing, working on decent PRDs, product backlogs and getting things done on time and to perfection.

- Good knowledge of UI/UX is a PLUS.

3. On your personality:

- Proactive, curious, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

- Always curious to learn and maintain up-to-date knowledge of product solutions, industry trends and best practices of other players in the market.
