Job Description

Masan Group is embarking on a multi-year journey to modernize and digitalize the entire Finance function. To accelerate this, we are opening a new, pioneering role: Product Owner Finance Transformation. This position plays a critical part in shaping how Finance will operate in the next decade.

This is a role for someone who is both strategic and execution-driven. You will be responsible for discovering the real problems, designing the future-state vision, and directly driving implementation across processes, systems, and data. Unlike traditional consulting or PMO roles, this position requires someone who can turn strategy into real operational change working closely with Finance teams, IT/Data teams, and senior leadership to build solutions that work in practice, not only on paper.

You will join at the very beginning of the transformation journey, with the autonomy to define the approach, methodology, and roadmap. This is an opportunity to build Masan's Finance of the Future from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of Finance processes, workflows, systems, data flows, and organizational structure.
  • Engage with stakeholders across Group Finance and Business Units to understand pain points, manual bottlenecks, decision cycles, and capability gaps.
  • Map out the real picture of how Finance operates today and identify high-impact improvement opportunities.
  • Develop the Finance Operating Model of the Future across people, process, technology, and data.
  • Recommend transformation themes (e.g., automation, standardization, integration, data governance).
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business value, feasibility, and readiness.
  • Build roadmap that is actionable and aligned with CFO and Transformation Office priorities.
  • Translate Finance transformation goals into detailed requirements, solution designs, process flows, and user stories.
  • Own the product lifecycle for Finance systems (ERP Finance modules, planning & forecasting tools, BI dashboards, workflow automation).
  • Drive workshops, validate requirements, coordinate with Tech/Data/ERP teams, and ensure solutions meet Finance objectives.
  • Participate directly in configuration reviews, data mapping, UAT, and go-live activities.
  • Define and standardize financial master data (CoA, cost/profit centers, store/product/channel hierarchies).
  • Develop the Finance data model for reporting, analytics, and real-time insights.
  • Partner with Data/BI teams to ensure Finance has a unified, trusted single source of truth.
  • Lead communication, training, and alignment sessions across Finance communities.
  • Support Finance teams as they adopt new processes and systems; troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth transition.
  • Act as the bridge between business needs and technical delivery teams.
  • Define success metrics for each initiative and track value delivery (efficiency, automation level, closing cycle time, accuracy, insight speed).
  • Identify quick wins and long-term enhancements.
  • Provide continuous insights and recommendations to the CFO and transformation leadership.

Qualifications

  • 712 years in Finance, Finance Transformation, FP&A, Controlling, Finance Systems, or Consulting (with real execution experience).
  • Strong understanding of Finance processes end-to-end.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or improving ERP Finance, Planning tools, BI dashboards, or automation workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to both design strategy and execute details.
  • Proven record of building, not only advising.
  • Strong communication and influencing capability across Finance and Tech.
  • Track record of working in ambiguous environments and creating structure.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in FMCG/Retail/Consumer or multi-entity corporate environments.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO, Oracle Financials, Dynamics 365, Anaplan, Hyperion/BPC, Power BI.
  • Experience building operating models or leading PMO-like programs.
  • Background in Big4 or Consulting & corporate execution experience.
